Human Nature

Having an interest in psychology, the environment, and particularly in my most immediate surroundings, led me to begin a series of ‘installations’ in 2013 around the theme of unnatural configurations or arrangements.

The town of Bussy-Saint-Georges is an interesting place where modern apartments replace fields, to house a young and ever-growing population, where roads suddenly become grass, and where pathways abruptly turn to dirt. I wanted to present a contrast to the building that was taking place all over town, with the notion that what the construction workers and I were doing, stemmed from the same ‘human nature’, and that our acts merely represented different ends of a spectrum.
